Starting fresh!

Starting a new grow soon and need some advice on what size light to use. The tent is 4x4x8' I want to to get the greatest yield without wasting a bunch of power. I plan on using a SCROG method to maximize use of what little space I have to work with. Been browsing the web looking at 600W hps lights, would this be too big? Feedback is appreciated thank you!

600w hid is the perfect size for that area

Thanks mate! Would you be able to recommend any good brands? Would Amazon be a bad place to buy a light?

Brand wise a vented hood is a vented hood, imo it's all about the ballast and bulbs, I prefer to buy everything local from a hydro store, makes returns easier and as long as I buy from him I get maintainance and loners if anything goes down, but I'm sure Amazon works too, riu has some vendors as well that have discounts and I'm pretty sure they will stand by the product they sell, plus you can pm them if they dont lol

I run 1000 watts in my 4x4 and 600 watts in my 3x3. As long as you can manage heat youll have no problems. Your bill will increase 40 percent with 1000 watts over the 600. But it should also increase your yield 40 percent. I run a quantum ballast setup and an Apollo horticulture setup but as bb mentioned I dont see much difference.
