Mostly going to come down to the grower preference. Everyone has different opinions on when, but it's important that the plant is healthy when you do top.

Ive got The Church by Green House Seed Company going on the 6th node so i may top that one tomorrow when the light comes back on. Thanks guys

I wouldnt top it. Id bend it over and make it grow vertically. This way is also a highly effective use of the light. We get 20oz-24oz from a pheno of SSH we have with a 2 month veg, and 20 gallons of soil/Promix BX, and 1000w Hortilux HPS. Not a fan of topping myself. It can work, but increases veg time.
