Start Seed Indoor or Outdoors?

Should I start my seeds indoor under 400w with a 20/4 light cycle then a month later maybe reduce light by 2 hours a week to put outdoor so they veg a little longer without flowering to early OR should I just start my seeds outdoors I live in northern Cali I get about 14 hours of light I just want a head start since my last clones flowered so soon and are wasting lots of veg time and now I'm starting from seed looking for at least 8 oz per plant is it to late for outdoor to hit 8oz per plant or should I just start indoor and get them used to outdoor light schedule for a head start? thanks advice appreciated!!

Pop them beans!...I would just do them outside...weather has been great....save some PG&E....
You're not that far behind....if at all really...if you're transplanting into good size pots,feed well and get good direct sunlight you could do better than 8 zips....Get to work....

What you think about prune pots? Or also know as smart pots to they work also you think some ocean fox farm with 30 perlite will soft the soil for better oxygen to the roots? For faster growth

I use 65 & 75 gallon smart pot and DIY smart pots...(and 18 gallon totes)

Like half happy frog and half ocean forest some (good NOT eb stone) earthworm castings and lime....I started hating perlite last year...as it floats and rises to the top of the pot and just sits there mocking me...FUCK YOU PERLITE!!!!! so yeah no (extra) perlite this year...the smart pots will be good enough....if you don't think so add coco or peat moss...
I have pulled a pound each off of the totes before...you should do 8 just fine...

I would just put them outdoors. They should start to flower sometime around the beginning of Aug. I usually start my garden (clones, and seeds) the first two weeks of June. I try to keep them under 6ft for security purposes. I end up yielding between 13oz to 16oz. Per plant. GL

Thanks for the advice i might try half fox and happy frog i have heard good things about those two mixed thanks bwg707 for your advice too goodluck everyone on your growing this year will know know where to turn too if i have problems thank you
