Northern Farmer is back on the forum under the a new name of, NFR. His multi-year thread about his stadium grow is at

One of his quote regarding room size was, "
The floor space is 10'x6.5' and 6.5, high. 5 shelves a side with the plants in 1 gal bags."
He has since changed his setup slightly to veg longer with fewer plants. "
"Space gets used up quick if you narrow/shorten the room from 6.5 feet wide. I'm actually going to widen my next stadium a little because of the fewer but bigger plants getting too close to the bulbs. I may go down to 3 shelves as well. Laws are changing here so numbers are now to be considered by myself."
"Rooms are now a little wider(plants are bigger)...4 shelves and 2 gals(spaced out a little bit). No poly(pk rots/hum red) and a lengthy 4 week veg (PK vegs so slow)."
Here are a couple other quotes that refer to bulb spacing that you may not have seen.
My bulbs are about aprox 20" from the ends and 22" apart(give or take). It is very condensed light. That is one of the biggest factors for weight in this system. I see people spreading them out further to try and maximize. As long as you don't get carried away. Eventually things stretch more and get a little fluffier...
I just hang them from my center beam down the middle of the room. Hooks, wire, what ever works...
I try and keep them lever with my 3rd shelf...but that’s with my dimensions. (with 5 shelves hang light at 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] shelf....hang light at center of 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] shelf with a 3 shelf setup.)
