Spider - Helpful Or Not?

today i found a house spider near my plant, sitting on the pot. Im sure he will kill any flies around but will he harm the plant. I live in the uk and the spider is about 2cm long.

just watch it..... you'll be able to tell if it affects the plant.... if it does then get rid of it, otherwise, there is no need to.

I would remove it just because if you try and watch it he may end up disappearing in your grow room somewhere. just put it outside. no need to kill it

although if he disappears, he isn't affecting the plants, so there is no reason to put him outside, he'll keep other bugs at bay.

One little spider wont ham your plants.

No spider (except mites) is going to do much harm to your plant. Most all, as far as I know, are venomous, which means that they use their venom. Not on plants that don't move, but on other bugs that do.

The other day I was going through some old planters and found a SERIOUS fatty McFatty! Had to work hard not to squish it (it was between the pots).

I'd say let it help you. Its a predatory organism. It's going to prey on anything that might be hazardous to your garden. I got this from the man himself Jorge Cervantes.
