Spare Room concept

Hey All

So considering starting up a small tent grow in my spare bedroom (likely have 2 flowering while 2 are vegging)

grow tent is about 4x4x6feet, 600w hps with carbon scrubber.

1. I have a sliding window in the room so i'll likely leave it open all the time just a crack with the blinds down so a bit of fresh air is always coming in (and a bit of exhaust going out, though I won't put ventilation directly attached to the window)

2. I wanted to try and veg and flower in the same room. For veg I usually get large pieces of white cardboard to place around the plants then have cfl's hanging from the top and sides. I was thinking I would do this in the closet (but not close the closet doors) and keep the Tent for flowering in the middle of the room. I may need to put a divider up if I feel that the lights from the vegging is somehow penetrating the tent.

3. I know there will still be smell leaking out of the spare bedroom so I'm going to put an Air Purifier in the hallway outside the door to help with the smell.

4. Because the spare bedroom is pretty close to my bedroom, and with the window open it could get noisy, i'm looking to make a noise cancelling box to put around the Inline Fan (though i'm not very handy so it could be pretty poor lol)

Questions

- Does vegging and flowering in the same room sound safe if I have the divider to stop light penetration?

- Will I get heat issues in the summer since i'm venting into the same room? (also, I only vent my Tent, the vegging area is just open with a desk fan blowing)

Any other suggestions or tips from people who have had a similar set up??

Cheers!

No problem vegging and flowering in same room as long as there are no light leaks.
Even CFL's produce heat - When you add more for light penetration as the plants fill out there will be more heat to deal with.
Good circulation, fresh air, and exhaust will certainly help the plants to be healthier.

Many years ago I vegged my plants in a large closet with a oscilating fan inside. Door open a lot to give fresh air.

If you can't get a quiet sollution to noise try to cover the sound with an small radio playing music.
