SoS new site Freebies

Hey, Just received my first SoS order, from the new launch. I'm wondering about the freebie seeds and if anyone plans on popping any of them right off the bat or somewhat soon... I've read mixed things about freebie seeds and had HIGH hopes for a few of the strains. I'm really curious about the Sleestack, the Black Domina x SS, and the WW x WW which I heard is a Dinafem seed. If anyone is popping these or any others from the 6 free strains please let me know and send me a link to a good thread to see progress of these strains, or an old finished grow.

Thanks a ton guys

Just a question, is all.

If it's a Dinafem seed, how does Dinafem benefit by having it given away anonymously? Same for the rest.

Their from a feminised seed breeder in spain, one that supplies other dutch seedbanks

I liked their Blue widow and Black domina x OG Kush.

I'm a couple of days away from chopping my NLxChronic freebie from SoS that I got last year. It's the frostiest plant I've grown, but doesn't look like a big yielding plant. I smoked a sample bud which was quick dried so can't comment on the taste, but the high was solid and consistent. It gave me a small giggle fit and made me a sarcastic bastard(more so than usual) which my friends didn't take too kindly too! Lol.

I'd grow it again though if I was given the free seed, it was probably the easiest plant I've ever grown. Absolutely no problems with it.

I'd be willing to bet the SOS freebies are from the same anonymous breeders that supply Seedsman, not Dinafem.

SOS purchases bulk beans to give as buyer incentives rather than breeder promotions. I tend to think that the tude uses older stock for freebies as a means of keeping fresh stock, promoting their suppliers, and buyer incentive. It's just a marketing perspective.

The Sleeskunk and WW popped tails in 36 hours. The auto mango took almost 4 days to crack. The other freebies are in the fridge for another time. I really wanted to play with the 78 Sour, but wanted to give it more time so... next spring. Veg indoors. Flower outside. Sleeskunk and WW sprouted and above dirt for three days now.

Edit to add: EM told me in an email that all the freebies are from a private label Spanish breeder, except for the Loud Sours.

Is there a thread for your grow? I'd love to watch the updates, and kinda see how yours go then compare to mine in the future.

I germed the WWxWW and the two 7/8 sours. They cracked in 24 hours, and are in the seedling dome as we speak.
I haven't seen them sprout yet, but it has only been 2 days in soil.
I have never grown a WW. Should be fun. I didn't want to pop too many femmed seeds, especially unknown breeders gear. I want to be able to hawkeye that WW all the way through the flowering process.
I think I will get out the camera and journal these two strains.

I am really interested in the Black Domina x super skunk also.
Don't know the breeder, but the straight up Black Domina ceeds are quite pricy. Should be interesting.

Yeah, I tend to agree. Some of the freebies I got from the Attitude Christmas bash were a little dificult to germ. I had around a 50% germ rate overall. I think they were liquidating old stock.
The Boss Hoggs ceeds grew into some stellar plants, but I think I was one of the lucky ones. I think those Boss Hoggs were an example of a breeder throwing out samples, so the growing community could test the gear. I think maybe it's a little of both.

I don't know for sure, but I have had some fun with some of the freebies and some of them, I wish I had cloned because they turned out to be fire!:leaf:

Your Boss Hoggs stayed herm free? Have you cloned them. I think there is fire there, Im just afraid of the herms humping shit I paid for. Nothing worse than aggressive hermis. Don't stare too long, they'll think you're flirting and spray you.

There is a breeder called Hero Sedes with a strain called Spider Skunk. Close as i can find to the BD x SS.

Kannabia's Power Skunk is listed as Black Domina x Super Skunk. It depends on where you look though. It is also listed as skunk #1 x BD on their own website.

Yeah I got lucky. I got two females out of two regs and two different phenos. I have been updating on the "Cali-conn's Boss Hogg thread." in the seed and strain review forum.
I just posted a few pics of the mother I cloned off one of the first two. I have a couple more clones in veg, so I went ahead and threw the mother in flower.
I still hawkeye the shit out of that plant, but I took the first two 70 days without a hitch, so I feel good about this cycle. It's a wierd lottery of nature sometimes. I got lucky and I am keeping this one around for a while.

Update:
The two reg 7/8 sours and the WW x WW have all emerged from the soil. 100% germ rate off the freebies so far.

Well I'd def be interested in seeing how any of your WW X WW, BD X SS, SLEESTACK, or even the 7/8'S. I'm going to run them eventually and it can't hurt having a comparison or hearing a few issues and how it takes to feeding... I've got so many options...
