Something I highly recommend to new growers.

I don't know how it happens.....we start growing weed and all of a sudden we find ourselves starring at them way too many times in a day. Never before in our lives have we stood anywhere and watched (sometimes hours on end) a little plant wave in the wind.

All that time meditating about our plants almost always makes us want to make sure we're doing out part to keep them happy. "Gee....they're looking thirsty" even though you just watered them last night.....but it seems like days ago.

We lose track of time.....hours seem like minutes, days seem like hours. We start feeling our plants are growing slower than everyone's bud-porn on here....we feel our plants MUST need nutrients to keep up with everyone else.

And then we over nute.

What I have done, and many people do, is get a calender and start writing down what and when you've watered/gave nutrients/transplanted/flipped to 12/12, etc. etc.

Doing this has helped me a ton to keep me from over-watering, over-nuting, etc. It's also handy during future grows to compare those grows with previous ones. I measure my plants often and note it and compare the height to past grows to see if I'm ahead or behind were I was in the past.

So.....if you haven't started some sort of at-a-glance journal, it's time to do so in my opinion.

i did all that a few years ago. now i just keep track of which ones i fed last so they dont get back to back feedings.

i used to sit and watch the plants but the longer i sit and watch, the more my shirt gets wet from drooling on it.

now its just lights on, water with a quick inspection of each plant, and get out of there.

I've set up a little program that keeps track of the important stuff. I record daily and has allowed me to trace back certain issues when they arise. Example: I have found out that new bottles of ph down can really swing in strength from the company. I know no that I need to re-calibrate when introducing new bottles. It works for me. Very useful info comes from what you used to do!

I downloaded an app for my Android (My Plant Diary) and it lets you put all these details in there so you can track progress. The app is really simple, but I am often to :bigjoint: to remember to fill it in. A good old fashion pen with a paper calendar may be easier to remember

I print a calender for each plant. And when harvest time graces me, I sometimes get caught out because those calenders often times look like a 5th grader was doodling.
