I recently harvested a few ounces and i have weeded out about an oz that has been strucken with mold unfortunately... Ive let these nugs be quarantined away from the rest of the crops... But now im thinkin about grinding it up and letting it get really dry to make for some cannabutter...

I figures since im going to cook it in a slow cooker for 24 hours then the mold will surely die... Let me know your opinions of this please

BUMP.

I'd like to hear some opinions on this too. Also, if further drying could potentially save the bud (ie. will further drying kill the mold?).

While the thought of smoking moldy weed doesn't sound too appealing, I would imagine most of us have smoked worse in street-bought weed at some point in our lives. Is it harmful? Or just probably nasty-tasting. I ask because I'm wondering if the OP really needs to cull the moldy weed if it's LIGHTLY molded. I'm sure some more experienced growers have encountered this situation before???????

:peace:....Have no knowledge on mold, maybe a exsperienced grower might have a old school mold trick:wall: But someone should know, not sure about smoking mold:spew:

Smoken a little mold here and there won't hurt ya I've done it on more than one occasion when I was hard up and I wouldn't think it would hurt to eat it..Penicillin baby..

yeah its fine, i am allergic to mold/mildew/dust and i have a sativa bagseed at week 12 flowering and i had some leaves dry up in some lower buds that i eventually cut off and quick dried for a sample with no reaction. they didnt taste any different from other quick dried buds. also had a problem with powdery mildew too; just make sure to dry it until the stems snap and the outside of the bud is crispy and you should be fine.
