Soma Beds for s.o.g Stadium Grow?

excuse me if this has been discussed previously but I am currently setting up my new grow and have decided, like alot of other ppl, to use Northern Farmers stadium grow concept...(those who aren't familiar please don't chime in)
question is, would there be a benefit in the total harvest amount if instead of filling 1gallon grow bags and cramming the shelves like so, if instead i built soma like beds in a step like pattern similar to other stadium grows? i understand their are hydro systems out there now for the stadium system, but organic soil beds i happen to love..any opinions or would this just be a waste of time?
