Hello there guys and gals. A very happy holiday to everyone out there reading this post. I am getting ready to order some seeds and come in search of expert advice. First, I will provide some background on my setup along with what I am hoping for in a strain. I would like feedback on which strains would be a good choice for my preference and setup along with the preferred seed bank.
The setup:
I have a roughly 10x10 room with the frame of a 5x5 tent assembled inside. The room is light tight. I have 2x 1000w HPS hanging from the frame evenly spaced. I have created a schedule where each light is on for a duration with both lights being on together for a shorter time. I do this mainly in an effort to control the heat. I also think it mimicks the sun moving across the sky.
The room reaches a top temperature of 85F when the lights are on. At night the low generally does not go below 72F. I am running an RDWC system, the Current Culture 4XL for those familiar with the product. The water is pumped through a chiller keeping the water temps at 67F at all times.
My favorite strain I have come across this far seems to be 'Deathstar' but I believe it is only available as a clone.
My intention is to order a pack of 10 feminized from TSCC and to select the best four out of the batch.
Here is what I want from the selected strain:
1. Stable phenos, more predictable with little to no variation between plants.
2. Dense, rock hard nuggets.
3. Decent yield, doesn't have to be the greatest but should be a good yielder.
4. Potent. I like stuff that knocks me into another dimension.
5. Smells. I want to know if someone cracks a jar of this stuff even if I am half way across the house.
6. Works well with SCrOG
7. Will do well in heat (72f to 85f). Could imagine hitting 90f on rare occasion but I try to keep it 85f or below.
8. Tastes great
I have typically grown sativa dominant strains but think it is time for me to try my hand at a more Indica dominant hybrid. My main concern is selecting a strain that is mostly indica (80/20 or 70/30) and that will finish in a reasonable amount of time.
Any recommendation on strain, seed bank or place to order are welcomed. I have gone through TSCC in the past and always received my order. I can not verify the genetics, though. Any red flags?
Thanks to everyone for your time and consideration!
