Hey guys! My situation is like this, i happen to live on an almost unhabited tropic island , where there is no gardening stores or anything like that, so i have to make my growing medium from materials availible here. Basicly here is loads of coconut trees, palms, thick jungle , really high humidity and hell of a heat ( round 30c whole year around) . I can probably get my hands on some chicken shit, i see them roaming around all the time here. What would you guys suggest to put in it. The strain is mostly sativa, autoflowering. Cheers :)

get your compost rolling! look up a recipe for your compost on youtube or something. all about ratios with the compost. happy growing!

you can use the chicken shit but it needs to set for awile before you can put it straight on as it may burn your plants from nitrogen. I have never used it myself but have used cow and horse manure I would let it sit over a year before adding it to my soil. I doubt the chicken manure would have to set as long as it is smaller and should break down faster.

how is your native soil? is it nice and loamy and break down easy or is it more clay and hard material?

its probably a sandy loam. can you get some local soil from a jungle? its undisturbed and probably nice and rich. def start a compost heap. only veg matter and mix in dried leaves not just green matter. you need a nice carbon/nitrogen ratio. of course it won't be ready to use for a while.

Sea bird quano. Rabbit poop. Burn your leaves and collect the ashes. Buy some warms. Dave your green food scraps. Eggshells, coffee , can you tell us what your island has to offer. Coconuts will make your plants crszy happy. And sativas love hor weather. I wish you luck.

Hey there guys, thanks for the great answers ! Had no access to the internet lately.
Bought some soil on the mainland, just enough to start them in plastic cups and whilst they are on my balcony im gonna start preparing my secret garden on the hilltop. Seeds have germinated really good, in 2 days the root is like 1'' long already. Found a nice spot with a soil similar to the one i bought. it is nice, moist, black, and breaks really easy. I am thinking of mixing it with egg shells, coconuts and some burned leaves , also i have seen huge ass bats , so i assume that i can find some bat guano around here, any suggestions where to look?
g'day :)

Also, this is my first time growing on equator , so i am really confused about the light cycle , because it is just 12/12 whole year around. When will the plants will enter flowering, or they will just stay in veg forever or enter premature flowering? (not talking about my auto seeds, i also have really nice landrace seeds from here ) :) I have no acess at all to lights, so i can only depend on the sun here.
