soil mix for outdoor grow

are there any soil amendments for balancing ph in the soil i should i know about ?
whats a basic soil mix i could make on the cheap ?

Oyster Shell Flour? You could post on facebook looking for some compost, and mix with plain old fertile dirt. This is the cheap way. Oyster Shell Flour will cost a little. I like this also see link:

1/3 premium soil
1/3 premium compost
1/3 premium worm castings
Gaia green bloom
Bokashi
Oyster shell flour
Insect frass
Gypsum
Dolomite lime
Kelp meal
Neem cake
Perlite, pumice, or the like
Fishbone meal
Bone meal (or) mineralized phosphate
Water with black strap 1tblspn per 2gal Cook for 30days min.
Check out coots mix, or subcools supersoil....

If you don't want to spend the money just use promix and Gaia green w/worm castings. It'll work fine. More beginner level but gotta start somewhere.
