I'm starting a new grow in a week or so and trying to figure everything before I start.
My aim is to use as little as possible store-bough liquid fertilizers while getting the best results possible.
I got a "compost" bucket with recycled soil and about 30% organic matter that decomposed together. Its not warming up anymore and the texture is superb. After messing with it I always get some slime on my fingers after a plain wash in water. I recall its a good sign.
This is my plan, so far:
Germination - Peat pellets until a few roots pop.
Seedling stage (until the 3rd true node shows) - planting in 0.5L pots with:
40% recycled soil
40% store-bought potting soil containing around 90% peat and 10% tuff. It got some trace amounts of chem. fertilizer it seems, but nothing worth considering.
10% coco fibers
10% perlite
Vegetative stage - planting in 5-7L pots with:
10L store bought potting soil
5L worm castings
20L recycled soil
1L activated charcoal
1L manure compost
2.5L coco fiber
2.5L Perlite
1L marijuana leaves compost (complete compost)
10L soil salvaged from a tomato pot after being pulled. Should be pretty used up. Grew organically.
0.5L Alfalfa pellets made as rabbit food.
0.1L high P bat guano, if I'll find some of that. Probably won't.
I'll probably add some more stuff when I get there to fill the pots better.
Flowering cycle - 45-60L tubs after males are tagged. Moved to the mix a week before switching the timer to 12\12.
As much home-made compost as I will have at hand. I might break it down with some tomato soil to get it to go faster.
5L worm castings.
If I'll be able to get some high P guano, some of that.
If I'll be able to get some dolomite lime, some of that and some wood ashes to stabilize the PH of each other and add potash and some trace elements.
Some coco and perlite to loosen up the mix so roots would grow with ease.
For the germinating stage I'll pop the peat pellets with a tiny bit of cloning powder and distilled water.
From there i'll give dechlorinated tap water (7.6PH, 300PPM on the last read) for the first 2 weeks after sprouting.
Then I'll start brewing compost tea and give tea-water-water.
At the start of flowering I'll give tea-water-water-tea-water.
Optimally I like to water every 5-7 days.
They will grow in a SCROG under a 400 or a 600W, starting with temps at around 32°C and lowering to 26°C as we go.
For supplements to fix deficiencies I got most of the BioBizz array. Those things are very expensive when I plan on 40-50L of watering solution per week after the first month.
I plan on mulching with about an inch of perlite on top of the soil to prevent the top from crusting.
Any opinion on how to optimize my mixes?
Do they sound like something that will result well?
Any input on the phenos of Jilly Bean? I'm looking for a male as well to make some auto seeds with a auto freebie I got so any input on male phenos is apreciated
I've heard of a candy shop pheno that I hope to get, but is there anything else worth looking for?
