high all,

Im finishing up my first grow in soil, it is going alrite I should have at least a couple ounces of decent bud but IM hoping for something truly excellent from my 2nd grow in time for the holiday season bongsmilie

I am going to experiment with a small drip irrigations hydro set-up , I have some help around here with setting it up but I was curious if I can use rapid rooter plugs and when the seedlings are well-rooted can I transplant the rapid rooter plug into the grow rocks just like I would soil, or do I need to start the seeds in something else like rockwool:confused:

just use the grow rocks. Rockwool is terrible imo. It withholds way too much water, especially for a drip system. Coco blocks drain better but expanded clay or grow stones are chron. Its impossible to overwater and the roots are always on the move since the water is as well. I personally use eb flow but have friends doing great things with drip. Also the DWC premade systems are very low maintenance and not very expensive. A friend swears by them as the lowest to maintain. You may want to check into what will work best for you with the area and light you will use. GL!

also, i just dropped the rockwool so i still have a few plants in it, but the rapid rooters i transplanted right into the hydroton are very happy girls. RW is also algae prone.

so you recommend starting in the rapid rooter plugs then putting them into the grow rocks once they are well rooted?
