SOG using trimmings off of plants for clones not mothers.

I did a good search for this didn't really find anything.

In the SOG I understand you trim the bottom part so about 1/3 of the plant is left. All this is done around week 2. Can you use these trimmings off the plants for clones instead of having a seperate room just for mothers and cloning?

if there big enough sure, but you wanna trim them when there young so they may not live.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while. I can't say for sure, but I would imagine it would be okay as long as the "mother" is in veg. If the mother is flowering I think it should be okay to put cuttings directly into flower while rooting. Like I said I've never done it, but that's how I understand the plant to work. Hope this helps.
