There's really no breeders I've seen that focus on sog. I used to run sk#1 sog and it was pretty awesome because it had fairly minimal side branching. My guru ran it until I gave him my cut of Blueberry indica. He went from averaging a bit under 3 lbs per 1000 watt every 60 days to averaging 3.75 with the bb. Some varieties do need a bit of trimming but generally once they start flowering I try not to touch them too much. Sog is about getting it done as quickly as possible with as much weight as possible. Plant count is important too. Some varieties may produce more when running 36 per 4x4 space and some do better with maybe 24 in a 4x4 space. Stretch is also a big factor to look at. A lot of the new hybrids have tons of branching because they were selected for smell/taste rather than plant structure. I think that's why scrog is so popular now. For sog check out some of the more classic varieties like sk#1, nl5hz, afghani ect. Akbeanbrains has a pretty great selection of older stuff. I really try not to mess with anything that has runtz, cake, or any other hyped bullshit in it. To me they're mostly genetic garbage that doesn't get me high or if it does it's for all of 20 minutes. You really just have to work with your space and figure out what works for you and your style of growing. Hope this helps you a little.
