So Many Questions. What to do?!

I'm preparing for my first grow. I want to get really into this. I want to learn the whole process including raising the Mother as well as cloning and being able to produce really good stuff for myself.

I've got a 47" high by 45" wide by 13" deep space. I would like to fit as many plants as possible.

Should I stick with soil or could I fit a hydro system in there somehow? Anyone have any ideas or tips? I've already painted the inside pure non-gloss white. I just need to know what equipment i need already! lol

thanks guys

I would suggest getting a couple soil grows under your belt first....(unless you feel ready)... Then move to hydrponics... Lots of advantages.... As for hydro systems thats really preference... Im currently using a basic DWC system thats very cheap easy and efficient to run...just my opinion

i agree with starting out with soil .. i do see plenty of newb's jump in and start with hydro, but it just don't think its the brightest idea.. i always think its a better idea to do a simple soil grow the first few times to get an idea of the basics before moving up to dro..
with such a small space, have you thought about doing a sog style grow? i think that is the direction i would be looking at so that you can fit as many plants in there as possible..

Thanks for all the input. Sog style grow you say? I'm not familiar but I'll look into it thanks. I just finished painting the inside flat white since mylar is a bit out of reach at the moment. What kind of lights should I start with? Inevitably I want to have a 1000w HID with ballast but I think that's high hopes for this cabinet.
