So i opened my paper towels with my germinating seeds and......help please

the seed fell to the floor and was preety dark darker than when i first got it i put in the paper towels at 11:11am today..........i know i checked to early think it won't sprout?

form what iv done it taken mine up to 3 day to root... others may say def.

but do you think it is dead from the 3 foot fall it took while moist??

did u step on it if not it should be fine just put it back in the paper towel with a bowl on top and put it n a warm dark place and check it in a day or 2 could take 3...

Good luck with it man.Make sure they are warm 72-80F mine almost always crack within 24 hrs.I use a dark container and put the beans into the fold of my paper towel,makes sure they get alot of O2.

lol yea. same problem with mine but its natural it takes a couple days sometimes.

I open the mail when I am stoned and drop those all over. lol

If you want to keep it warm put it in the towell, in a plastic bag, on a plate and on top of your water heater.

thos are alot of good suggestions just dampen give humid worm spot close to 80 degrees and should pop


but to answer you question that all seem to have forgotten no the fall did no harm to the seed next time work over sumthing in case you drop them
i once droped a seed on basment floor - a dirty floor never found it

impact was nuthin to seed

It should be alright after a fall, but for real, the more you mess with it, the less likely it is to germ and make a nice plant...So put it in a ziploc and then leave it alone...The ziploc is so you don't have to worry about drying out your paper towel too fast...I just put my seeds in a paper towel and then put the towel in a baggie, and then close it most of the way, leaving only one small part of the bag unzipped...at least that is what I did when that is how I planted seeds...I lost more using the paper towel than I do just putting them straight into soil. Moving small seedlings all about is risky business, so it is better to let them sprout and grow straight from the soil

Ya know what I have had happen a few times and it pisses me off...
You look and look and look at different strains...and then you order which one(s) you want...then you wait and wait and wait...and then the seeds arrive...so you get everything ready, but right as you go to plant the seed, you drop it..and it falls in a vent, or under the stove, or some weird place that you can't get it back from...
The second time I ordered seeds I dropped the one I had actually ordered and had been waiting on, and it slid under the stove...I had been waiting on that damn seed to arrive too long to go down without a fight...so i moved the stove and got my seed back...

Your seed should be alright, germinating seeds isn't medieval alchemy, everybody has their special method but in the end it's just a bean that wants to sprout. I soak them for 12 hours, toss them in a jiffy pellet that's been soaked in ph balanced water and toss them under the big light in the grow room and they pop out in no time headed for the light......there are no paper towels or ziploc bags in nature.

i have tried most all germs paper towel soon as rack to soil then put baggie ovver cup til seed breaks surface
i have germed in just water in a shot glass to dirt
in rockwool and starter blocks

lately im germin in acd case - right a black cd case
step 1 in napkin into cd cas loads of water into baggie then to heat pad lay flat
the second day i pour water off like a soak overnight now some will be split already
but i then close every thing back up wit sedds near top then i stand the cd on edge and wait for about 2 or 3 days
by then the tap is about 2 inches long the seeds is split and gone the cotyledon (first leaves the round ones that supply nourishment-till plants take off) are out
now i plant the tiny seedling redy for water soil and light i start wit flouresent tubes about 2 inches off

now no worry is it gona come up is it gona brak soil - whutis mother nature doing down there - i dimoed it and layed out a step by step in my thread a ways bsack

will do you no good to listen to me i f im organic and i make my soil mixin nutes and from there just water i have 10 1000w lights

and you have two y splitters and 4 cfls -you gotta do you
oh did i mention all my everything done on heat pad set at 80 degrees stay there till ready for cfls and food about 3 weeks

then wit cfls for about 3 weeks then to my 250 w hps and 250 w cmh runnin together wide spectrum works best for me

Your seed will be fine. Think about how far some of them fall from the plant it's self to the ground. Good luck and may the mighty grow goddess look favorably on you.
