Don't know what that means either, and I have many DWC crops under my belt. Follow directions, read your plants, perfect conditions and you'll be fine.

Never listen to the DRO shop Dude. They r usually just youngsters that need a job that know a little and just trying to learn more about the style just like you or they are knowledeable but masters of other hydro grow styles. If they knew anything about DWC they would tell u to keep everything consistent. No suttle changes. Besides maybe a half res change and switch ur nute ratio up to 2:1 flower to veg nutes when u flip to 12/12 and u should be fine. Certain strains like a calcium magnesium supplement to bring out there fullest potential around mid flower. Mostly OGK dominant. U may need to do so considering ur pushing ur plants so far into veg. One thing id make sure i did is when u flip ur flower to veg ratios on ur nutes. Make sure u keep them sitting at the same PPM they where at in veg before u flipped um. Then fine tune them from thier. A little cal/mag never hurts. Hope this helps. Peace

If you are growing in a confined space what he says kind of makes sense. I have done a handful of dwc grows in fact I am in the end of one now. However, I decided this week that this is my last DWC grow. Too much work. So I bought a couple flood and drain tables and resevoirs. The issue with DWC (in a confined space) is that:

A. The plants grow very large making them hard to manage. At least the strains I run, they stretch pretty good in flower.
B. Changing the res out, adjusting PH etc is a pain in the ass.

My flower room is a 4x8 tent. 6ft high. I have 4 ft plants each in there own 5 gallon reservoir. Leaves almost no head room and taking the plants in and out of the tent to adjust ph or change out the reservois is insanely troublesome. I know there are workarounds to this but even they aren't that great as there is still a lot of work involved. Maintaining multiple reservoirs being the biggest issue.

So I'm ditching DWC next time around for the flood tables and a scrog(scrog is basically impossible w/ dwc). I love dwc its a great system and you can grow some great plants but I don't recommend it for small closet type garden setups unless your just gonna do like a single tote type deal.

my first dwc grow started in an 18 gal tote, that became to crowded so I switched to 5 gal buckets and that was a pain in the ass when it came to res changes, adding water and checking ph,so now I have a rdwc set up that I made myself, now life is alot easyer,I can check my ppm,ph and add nutes to my res that sits outside of my grow space, res changes are easy to.and dont allways believe the hydro guy most of the time he is more concerned with whats in your pocket and will tell you anything to get you to buy this or that. good luck

hi there medjack you can grow diff strains i had northern light (indica) and arjun haze 3 (sativa) grown the same time in a rdwc its jus the height u gota worry about and it was fun for me coz the arjun haze would drag ph down to about 5.4 5.5 and the northen lights like the ph at 5.8 6.0 owell...

ps u seem very negative about things maybe dwc or rdwc is not for you i may be wrong if i am i apolozise
