So I got to thinking one day and this is what happened,,,

Was out in the yard one fine harvest fall not too long ago, enjoying the day
amongst one of the Creators finest gift to mankind, inhaling that pungent aroma
from a couple of 13ft Sativas, watching the helicopters fly over en route to Whitman, sipping some good joe when it hit me. Crap says I, I need to build a Grow Room.:-P

As with any good research and reconnoitering I began my search with a big fattie rolled out of my finest OG Kush. Were talking the size of the "Bird" finger kids. So I light er up and hit two, three well ok, I damned near finished that bad boy, fired up the french press, cracked open the 'puter and started lookie louing.

Long story short I got set up with a 12x12x12 shed. That was the cheap part.

The list was long. The hours longer. The Budget busted 5 or 6 times over. The wife reached new levels of pissed offedness that I never new a Redhead could hit. Three quarters of the way through she started eyeballing my boat in the driveway and I knew a storm was coming my way. Puckered up to about 8 outta 10 and got ready for the s&*t to hit.

Her first slash went to the bone, 'That Boat' has not been in the water for 5 months! And followed deftly with "All you do is work in 'That Shed' for hours on end and then spend time researching this new way of growing',,,,,,,,,,

Arrrghhhh, a Pirates life on the Hard can get arduous.

So it's been a year.

And now?

Many Pictures have been taken from Day Number 1.

I'll start slow. It won't hurt. I promise.

We'll start with a few of the outdoor Sativas and Indicas and and the space I had in mind.

Will post more. It only gets butter, errr, better.

My fiance pushed me to do our own grow, despite my warnings of how much time and money it costs to do it right. But, when the misses says jump....

Now, guess who gets to do all the work, spend most of the money, and share half the weed with his better half? Ah, but I love her

Looking forward to seeing and laughing some more, will be following along.Good luck!

The idea put into motion. Foundation lain, walls erected, roof installed and now we can get started on the inside. I spent one day (well ok it was more like 5 hours) putting the shed up. Now I need to caulk every seam, nail whole and crack I can find from the inside with the doors shut. Then I'll get to experience the fun that is known as insulation installation time. I haven't even got to the pretty boxes from the hydro store yet so hang in there.

I rocked in my garden of the previous 5 years and decided on no more outdoor growing. Shed is in the build process for a while here.

Now with this here new shed put up in the back, over my previous patch of Heaven on Earth where it just so happens that some mighty fine Sativas and Indicas were raised with nothing but pure loving and tender gentle care, by yours truly I might ad but anywho, let me get on with it.

Hang on, let me hit this one time before I continue,,,,,,,,

pppshhhhhhhhhhhhewwwwwww.

That's mo betta.
Much mo.

So anyhow, now that I've got the shed up and sealed and insulated I start hauling in the gear. And that's where the trouble began. I have this bad habit of buy two of damn near everything. And for this one I didn't hold back. 2 1000 watt systems 12 air pumps, light movers, Monitors, Air Conditioner, Filters, Hose, Air Stones, 120 Qt Coolers, Circulation Pumps, Wall Fans.

Hell I know I'm forgetting things but it'll come to me. Any how, I come from around the corner and Red is standing there with her two little companions, arms crossed over her ample bosom and a look that made my nads wish they two counties over. Yeesh. This was gonna be bad.

She up and starts with 'Where did all this come from?'. Like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming Peterbuilt on a lonely Wisconsin road,,,,, well, you get the idea there. I was in some kind of spot.

I started with my ol' reliable of "Honey, Chris was keeping most of this,,, and that wasn't gonna work cause she had spoken to Carly and knew Chris wasn't,,,,

So she says 'let's see the receipts so far'. I zigged and told her I'd put them together and we could go over them at dinner. At her favorite restaurant.

Had to jump ahead on the pics. The other build pics need to be resized and that's gonna take some time.

Red ain't all that mad at me anymore and I still haven't shown her the total bill.

Guess I'm doing something right after all.

I'm hoping.

LMAO, great thread so far. Sub'd for sure. I wanted to grow in an insulated shed a while back, but I had to move and no longer have the yard room for it. Be good to follow this so I have a good idea of what to expect in case I ever get the chance again.

So do you really think you know what your doing?

Stab my eyes out with a hockey stick. Get em this far and the woman starts doubting the system? Don't ask me how I quit smoking cigs after 30 years of puffing em. January 1 and no nicotine since and Red is still alive. Bless us one and all.

I tried some of the rubbermaid buckets and although I grew some tasty buds in them I fought the water temp throughout the whole grow. Lesson learned. Igloo Coolers only. Random shots from the past year with some current grow thrown in.
Dates should be on the pics..

Now Red has told me that she wants a Hydro Veggie garden for herself. Outdoor is fine by her. So in the middle of all this hoopla I decided to set her up. It's too damn dark to take pics right now and ya never know, might be a Mountain Lion lurking around so I'll snap some in the morning. Too old to take pictures with one hand whilst holding the 12 gauge in the other.

Time for a good long break but I'm thinking I might be back to post up again in a while.

Enjoy. And remember,,,,,

Do you really think it will work?

God bless her. Red has a natural tendency to throw wrenches into the cogs of my machinery just as I'm getting all the gears greased just right. So I went to resize pics of the build and while I may have a way with the keyboard, iphoto is kicking my left nad and it hurts, so I took some more photos this am just fer y'all. Yer welcome.

So I'll start from the top. 1000 watt and 600 watt ballast set up on top of the 4x4
room separated from the main room, pics will follow of that room later. The other 1000 watt ballast is in a corner on the floor.

Stand by. After I take a rip or two I'll be back at ya.

But these will have to do.

Red came in and sat down for coffee and FNN, looked over at my puter, saw these pics and asked me if I knew what I was doing,,,,,,,

Any way 1 Plant per Cooler, 3 Air Pumps pumping per cooler. 24/7

Yellow fan sucks fresh air in from under the shed. Heater on thermostat for them colder evenings. A.C. for the summer runs, exhausting through the floor to filters. Three Fans on the wall to circulate.

How's my growing?
800-go-green

I got some money shots coming so get ready,,,,,,,
