Ok so I got my 2' deep 4' wide and 8' tall, wood frame, wrapped in black and white plastic, setup. I got my 6" inline fan inside my box with a speed controller. Added 6" insulated ducting to vent into attic, which is setup. My 400 watt light is hung right smack dab in the middle. I setup two plywood vent holes on both sides of the box, with screen mesh (from a window screens) covering th holes to prevent dust and dog hair. Both holes are 5x6" holes. I plan on using foxfarm soil, foxfarm nutes and adding a co2 boost bucket also(in a couple weeks).

My problem is it's 83 degrees in there... And I can't get a a/c unit yet.

Any ideas would be awesome!

Thanks all,
unbecks!

It sounds like you've covered the basics. The first thing that comes to mind is to vent your light with either a cool tube or vented reflector.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Problem is I can't get a new reflector yet... Maybe, if I can work somethings out, I can get one from a friend. But it might be difficult. And I'd be moving from a 400w to a 600w.

I also have a 8" online fan not currently bring used.. And a cap (exhaust only) atmosphere controller That I could use. But not sure how that would help. At least not yet.

I'd think that with the vented reflector you would be safe going to the 600w.

Depending on the CFM of the fan, the 8" might do a better job of cooling your current setup. Maybe.
