Smell Problems

here is my cab: (camera was stolen, so paint it is...)

swap the intake / outtake fans around, outtake should be at the top.

my dilemma is as follows;

i will be growing 2-3 fem PPP in there, and i'm not sure if smell will be a problem or not. my options for smell control are;

  • ONA odor killing gel, i don't know how effective this would be for 3 plants.
  • run my outtake through my window, which kind of defeats the object of stealth.
  • use a small carbon filter, located inside the box.
    this is my preference, click the picture for the whole thread, props to maltesegrower for it.

    my only issue with this is that my current intake is a muffin fan running at 9v, coupled with a passive outtake. this keeps my temperature at a comfortable 80, and is basically silent.

    - i want to use something as quiet as the 12v muffin fan with the carbon filter, but i'm pretty sure this will not be strong enough to push the air out through it. anyone have any experience with this, and would it be strong enough?

    what do i do :confused:

i cannot speak for the power of muffin tins, but i can talk about ONA gel and its awesomeness. for reasons i shall not go into, my carbon scrubber is out of commission for a while. anyways, the whole place was reeking of some dank nugs, so i decided to get some ONA gel. long story short, it works very well and there isn't even the tiniest trace of dankness in the air.

if you dont mind smeling laundy all day....look up ona buckets. i think they smell like shit personally.

I would say get a 4" can 2600 and a 4" S&P TD-100. I use that combo with some success and it is quiet. Total is like $120 i think...

I remember seeing a thing on this..

Ona gel mixed with water and put in a bucket, and a large fan secured to the top, pulling air out.

I'll try finding it...

panhead posted some good stuff on o-zone generators, theres a nice small UV thing you can use all it is, is a light in a box looks like a little digi ballast, has its own circulating fan and all. My exhaust runs up into the attic at my apartment (and I'm the bottom story) so once dankness becomes a problem I'll need that cant have two upstairs neighbors smelling bud out all their vents, but then again the attic may only outlet to my place, but I doubt it. to be safe I'll be getting this ozone thing and putting it in my attic, should make everything smell like just after a thunderstorm 24/7. The little ones are like 100-150 bucks at your hydro store. The bigs ones are more but thats if your on the commercial side of growin.
