I keep an ozone generator by my front entrance.
I have a carbon filter in my tent.

between the two I get some control along with candles burning in my Den.

Flower is a stronger smell, still stronger is clipping and trimming. Strong smell from drying also.
Veg has the least smell .

Depends a lot on strain also, you can get some strains that are less pungent but no strain is 100% smell proof! as above take precautions or find a good spot outdoors to grow. Also location is important if growing inside, a sealed basement room that is accessed from a garage or other discreet entry is much more capable of reducing smell than say a grow tent in your spare room that you open and close often. A key to growing in a tent to avoid smell detection is use the above filter methods and avoid opening your tent as much as you can, just use a tent with a view window, the more you open a tent the greater the smell in your house.

DNA Sharksbreath is a very low odor strain, but all plants will smell

Don't worry about it, just get a couple of cats and don't ever clean the kitty liter box, the smell of cat piss/shit will cover up your pot stink quite well.

Its gonna smell and its just not worth risking not being prepared. Why be paranoid when you can be prepared and content. If it is a cost thing there are a heap of cheap diy methods that you can try. Maybe just post your grow setup and I am sure there will be plenty of experienced growers who can lend advice.

Man I just fell over laughing. Brilliant and eco friendly. Plus if you get a rep for being Crazy-Cat-Guy no one will come near your house anyway.

Spend the money on a carbon filter setup! They work!

My neighbors knew when it was getting close to harvest time by the funk in the air! No lie!!!!! I installed a carbon filter and now you would never know there was 10 frosty plants in my loft.......

Bagseed or not, IT WILL SMELL A LOT!!!!!!!

Spend the hundred on a solid fan and carbon filter setup. An ounce of prevention and all. Even as my carbon filter is getting to the end of its useful life, it removes almost all the smell of my garden. Between the flowering and vegging plants. there is only a faint "plant" smell.
Be proactive instead of reactive. The strongest odor comes from trimming in my experience over the actually flowering plant.

just using a bathroom extractor fan wherever it extracts too its going to smell to holy hell. so imagine everywhere outside your house smelling like pot with just 1 plant flowering in that room lol. Onagel would be the only air freshener i would try but i use that in conjuction with filters and scrubbers.

im looking into that big blue ozone generator. http://www.blueairproducts.com/ i think its cheaper after a few years of use than filters.

1-10/10
2- mine smell during veg, so I imagine others do too
3- don't mask the smell. Eliminate it... Use a carbon filter and fan even if it isn't but a 4 inch one...

I found that HEPA filters do very little to control the smell of pot growing, IMHO
Dr. Jekyll

Why reinvent the wheel, active carbon filters will provide the best solution for odor control.
Notice how the advert says "reduces odors", as opposed to "eliminates odors"

This air purifier works~
I just buy one.
(Now I just have 1 plant only.)
30days later 5-10 mature plants height 300mm will be here.
Then I donno whether it works.
I will tell you later boys and girls.

There are 2 to 3 different type of layer inside.
One of them is carbon filter.

Ok, simple fix...

Buy a bathroom cfm fan (13 bucks)
Buy a duct T connector.
Put screen on either side of the T. Fill it up with activated carbon from pet store. Tape off the top hole.
Boom, you have a perfectly working carbon filter for under 30 bucks.

In the last weeks of flowering, I had 12 plants in the rumpus room, which attached to the garage. When I would open the garage door, while in my closed car in the middle of the driveway, I would be hit with a HUGE blast of plant smell.

That was about 60 feet from the plants, separated by a wall (and then the garage).

When I had 2 plants in a spare bedroom (again, the last month of flowering) you could smell it from the front door, but only inside the house, not on the doorstep (with door closed).

So yeah, it's gonna smell.

I used smell disguises outside the house (lilies, cedar mulch, stinky fish stuff on my compost pile, basil plants, barbequed a lot) for my summer grow, and I say to hell with it for Winter. My neighbors are very conservative, and don't know what it smells like. When their kids come home on college breaks -- they probably know exactly what it is. ;-)
