Smell control when drying?

I had a question about drying and the smell that comes when you dry. I was wondering if there is a certain technique that people use to hid/ cover the smell. i know from some stories that when people dry out the weed their whole house started to smell like pot. Also how should i dry the buds? should they be suspended or can they lay on a table? If someone can give me some insight that would be great.:weed:

some people lay them out on screens, others hang them upside down. Personally, I hang them upside down. The point of either way is lots of airflow all around. If you dont have good airflow the buds can rot.

For smell, you really need a carbon filter. You can get one that can handle a 100-150 CFM fan for around $60 and its totally worth it...totally gets rid of the smell. Or you can make your own (do a search for marijuana carbon filter) but by the time you get all the supplies and spend time on it, you're probably better off just spending the 60. I don't know where you are in your grow cycle, but after a week of 12/12, the buds get increasingly stinky, including drying time. Go ahead and get a filter now before everyone can smell you.

AWWW, not that bad.
I'm in week 5 of flowering like 10 plants, and can't smell a thing. It's bagseed, but the WW will probably be a little more stinky!!LOL!!
Your right though gotta get it fixed before the neighbors smell it first.
