hello all, just new to the site. i grew outdoor over the summer and all went well until some deer decided cannabis was for them. im trying to get a small indoor project together for over the winter but dont really have much space. i was reading around and it looked like there could be a small set up with LED light is this true? any help would be great. thanks!

LEDs arent a good idea right now. they havent been developed enough for growing. cfls are a better choice then of course HIDs. you could get a tent kit and a small hps/mh light. or do a closet grow with CFLs. the world is your oyster.

Cfl lighting is good I prefer Starting with 2 or 4 foot fluorescent fixture with each fixture having a cool white and warm white...... it works great for veg growth and is affordable.1 fixture at Wal-Mart $9.82 and a 2 pack of warm or cool white $6.89.I have three fixtures for my veg room.LED lights are expensive and still not that effecient. There are some decent ones out but cost a pretty penny

ive heard that people line there rooms with tin foil to increase absorbtion... does this work at all or just a waste of time? also im a little worried about heat, if im using 4 cfl's how much ventilation do i need? will a small fan in the space cool things down enough?

one more question, ive also heard of people cutting down the time of the vegetation by putting the plants on a 20 hour on and 4 hour off light schedule. is this bad for the plants? also during the flowering can you speed it up by cutting off more light? instead of using a 12/12 light set up using something more like 8 on 16 off?
