I really searched, and did not see this idea anywhere. Hope you like it.
Years ago I had an under the stairs grow, 400 hps. I built an enclosure with flat top for veg and a door for light control to the 12/12 flower room below.
It was about a 2.5 x 4 floor setup above the flower area. I used a 6 pot of cfl above at 24/7, about 300 watts, clones in the back...
Obviously I had mass ventilation and smell control most of it exiting a basement window.
On day, I realized my plants in veg didn't need to be so big to go to flower with a 400 hps.
I figured If I doubled the clones and the plants under veg into slightly smaller square pots and added 100 watts cfl, and built a dark room big enough for 6 plants in flower, I could rotate 6 flowering plants every 12 hours, instead of 6 permanently the HPS. That meant never turning it off.
It is crazy work intensive, and god help you at harvest time, and pinning down the rotatin schedule is a PITA due to strain variations , it can be done. I've done it.
I haven't been in the grow forums for years and I'm quite buzzed. And old. GET OFF MY LAWN
Good luck out there
