Slight Coloring on Seedling Leaves?

ChrisGGG

This little guy has been above the ground for 7 days. I notice a slight inconsistency in the color of the leaves, I assume this is normal and I have too much time on my hands but I wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Yes this is normal. I presume you're referring to the more neon green color on the leaves coming in. So long as they aren't turning yellow or brown, you're fine.

that soil looks awful. if that's what you'r using - change it ASAP.
What you see is probably because chlorophyll takes time to build up.

Its 4:4:2 CoCo chunks: bagged top soil: worm castings, should I just switch it out for straight Coir? Can I do straight CoCo chunks since I already have them?

thats why their so dirty and ugly.
beside that it should work well. if you decide to reuse your soil, which you might want to if it ain't going to get blasted with chem nutes, add 20% perlite.

get some coco chunks on top of the medium as a mulch - it would help the top layer stay moist, your water to spread evenly, decrease evaporation, lower the risk of gnats and weed popping out, buffer the radiation (heat) from the light and make your pots look MUCH better.

Straight coco chunks acts like hydro and require an EC and pH meter, along with proper nutes and so on.
I'd use soil if I were you, easier to start with.

Thanks, ill mulch with the chunks. Start nutrients after 10 days every week? I've got some Jack Classic that I'm going to do 1/8 teasp/ gallon. Thanks for all the feedback.

start feeding when the plant goes pale from lack of nitrogen. fixing the paling is very fast and easy with some high N fert so its nothing to worry about.
you should have enough for 3 weeks with all that EWC. by the time your plant start to go pale you'll probably want to transplant to a bigger pot anyway so you'll have 2 more weeks or so without feeding if you'll use the same mix.
