I’ve been reading a lot of threads about it though I haven’t been able to find solid details on using the stuff, just other people asking questions.

I got my temp and humidity down, nutes are good, lights are great, proper ventilation and filtration, LST, SCROG, Topped, Supercropped, and defoliated. This is the best I’ve done yet!

But I’m always looking for an edge to do even better.

Besides going hydro, CO2 is an option I haven’t considered.

Suggestions/info would be appreciated.

The guy who introduced me to growing insisted upon it.

Couple hundred bucks startup costs for cylinder, regulator and sensor. After that it’s cylinder refills, which cost me 15 bucks a pop. I’ve been blowing through a cylinder a week, but that is because my exhaust fan is always on. I just bought a mechanical timer, and got rid of the sensor, so I’m giving about 10 fifteen minute blasts during lights on.

IMHO, it can’t hurt.

Well I just read on another forum you have to keep your temps from 85-95*

Even at my HOTTEST I saw 78*. My temps have always been 72-75 for veg and 65-70 for flower.

Any truth to this??

Stand by to stand by, as most of the people that post here will agree with this post of yours.

That is why I added at the end of my post, IMHO, it can’t hurt.


But I have heard several times that the CO2 is beneficial in higher temps, as you say. Although, I’d be tripping if shit got to 95 degrees. I’ve had environmental issues, but not that bad.

Yes to truly utilize co2 it requires higher temps. Do you know the co2 levels in your house? Most lived in homes are adequate for growing purposes the levels are more than high enough. If you have a meter put it in your room where you sleep an see how high it get come morning.

Ya im hazy because i really aint that fussed but at higher temps isnt co2 da limiting factor to growth hence its addition #smileyfacesmallquestionmark

Correct!

NO gassing during the last 2-3 weeks..

My bottom line has been. Why bother? Unless you own a few tents or have a small area...It simply is not cost effective to the return...

Best effective temp and RH range is about 89-91 deg and low 80's RH......That's right, high RH levels with gas on..
Best bet is to run an environmental controller....You set the temp and RH limits. It hits one of those and shuts off any gassing. Turns on the venting and the cooling. Then the setting you made for the low temp/RH - shutting off the vent/cooling. Take back over and turn on the gas.....

Lets talk about PPM settings a bit.

NONE of you out there are producing enough light intensity to use 1500 ppm.....SO DON'T WASTE GAS BY SETTING IT TO 1500 PPM!

About the best you can do, light intensity vs. gas PPM setting,,is about 1300 ppm. Even then, very few of you can hit that....

Set your gas ppm's to 1200 ppm for all 1000w HPS or the exact, or more equivalent in light intensity delivered..
You 600 w guy's ... around 800 - 900......I wouldn't even bother gassing below a 1k hps anyway...

I run co2. A master greenhouse controller with fuzzy logic. 4x 315cmh (1265w total). Temps from flip to week 5.5 is 84* and about 60rh lights on. I absolutely kill it every run. Co2 is 1400 from flip to week 7. Then dropped to 600 the last 2 weeks. I run 64-70 day cycles.

Dialed in like a assembly line

It’s why I never use anything but ambient co2.

Is worth gassing in veg then guys ? I was considering just doing flower day 1 to last day in week 5 flower
