a friend has a crop its about 12in tall can he flower now

They will double or triple in height. Depending on what light you have (friend ok sure) you may want to bend them over so you can get more light to all of the plant instead of just a fat bud on top only.

This can double your yield just bending them over into like a horseshoe shape and tying them down so you can drop the light closer.

yea thats good especially for cfl grows because they lose alot of lumens the further you have em away from your plants. With hps's you can have them away a bit further coz they can penetrate the thick canopies and still reach the bottom buds
