Simplistic Idea

Ok another newbie here (Joy for you :-o) My idea is i'm going to convert my 7ft(high) 3ft(wide) 2ft (deep) cubbard into my indoor grow room for a few seeds.

Im thinking of screwing a rack near to the 1/3 (from the bottom) way point of the cubbard and putting a water proof tray on it.

Next idea is to hang a light (Probobly flourecent because i heard they don't get very hot) from a chain at the top (to ajust hight) and just plant the baby plants (germinated and grown in small pots) into 1 gallon pots in this cubbard. Water them when the soil is dry a thumbs length deep and add a fan if there is room blowing on the plants.

I then plan to keep them there (Maybe 5 female plants) until the right time when i switch ove to 12/12 light.

Will this work? I don't realy have the money to spend on CO2 canisters and ventalation and all this high tech stuff (Fertilizers). I mean my Mum used to be able to grow some pretty good flowers and fruits without using any of that stuff so isn't it the same for MJ?

Thanks for Reading!
