As i was looking at my plants today I noticed one had a silver tent and specs of silver on the top leaves? my question is what is this and what does it mean?
if you mean white spots then you probably have spidermites. Check underneath the leaves for these tiny bugs and small white eggs. Depending how far into flowering they are you can spray with pyrethium or use a pyrethium bomb they are really effective.
As i was looking at my plants today I noticed one had a silver tent and specs of silver on the top leaves? my question is what is this and what does it mean?
I have seen this before and it turned out to be nothing after numerous attempts to diagnose-seen one plant whose large fans had a just barely silver tint or haze to them. This plant did get K lockout due to high salinity issues. soil or hydro?
hmm not sure what type of system it is http://www.sunleaves.com/detail.asp?sku=SGE200 basically it shoots a stream of water in the middle spraying water in each corner hitting the roots
gotcha-looks to be DWC-interesting thing about that pic with the roots-there is no way the roots wont entagle into a huge ball but w/e. DWC by far the fasted method of growing just need to understand that plants grown in DWC are very sensitive to change-even minute ones.
when was the last time you flushed out the res to remove salt build ups?
flushing really impt in flowering.keep ur ph in range, careful with the nutes and just keep your eye on the spots. If they do change color to rust/necrotic than you will have to address than. Ph spotting could be what you are seeing, but as long as everything is line u should be ok. any pics?
My camera is over at my parents place ill grab that today/tomorrow but I had a 3 in one test for PH Ms/cm and PPM im keeping my PH around 6.5 and keeping my nutes 700-800 range for ppm.
Im pretty sure 6.5 ph is too high for DWC or for hydro for that fact. Hydro is reccomended at 5.6-5.8. Having a ph over 6 can and usually does lead to nute lockout and other problems.
that high ph could be the problem with the specks you are seeing. when the ph is off, the first sign is random spotting anywhere from older fans to new growth.
