Side lights

So these side light led strips are 120 lumens per watt making 40w just 83ppfd all together. So even if it was all in one square? This is incredibly ineffecient, if that is correct.

Are there better options that can be close to plants? I read 5050 smds are an example of ahat can be close to plants.

I am running a tall space bucket pretty much and would rather line the lower canopy with just 15w strip lights and a ufo led overhead.

That gives me 11” canopy but if I could light the sides instead, I could have 23” which would be much better. The side lighting on the big plant is continuing nicely, tanning, resinous and fattening. Might pluck on now to dry and smoke in a couple weeks.

If the larf turned to decent bud with just 10ppfd roughly hitting at it, that would be crazy. Still ineffecient though if to spend more than 15 watts per plant on it.

If I yield impressive numbers, including but separating the larf I lit up on this thread, I think it was worth the 35w.

I weighed some fresh shavings of true larf meaning no girth to it, it weighed heavy after weeks of drying. Makes me think the side buds will weigh an easy oz.

You shouldn’t eye ball but what if you are good at it from eyeballing bags of weed for so long lol. an oz would be 1g per watt but of a shitty efficiency side light unless shown otherwise.

I can’t count how many times I pulled a straight gram out of a bag on the scale first try.
