side light?

i have a box that is 3.5x2x4 ft i have 2 cfl fixtures with 2 bulbs each that are above my 4 plants. would there be any added benefit to moving one of the light fixtures so that it provided light from the side?

How many watts are those CFLs? Side lighting is good but to make the most out of just two CFLs it's probably better to just LST or go ScrOG (low stress train, screen of green, info in the GrowFAQ) the plants and try to make an even canopy.

Adding more CFLs is always good, and you can pretty much eliminate the need for side-lighting with LST or ScrOG.
