hi folks,

i am germinating seeds into rockwool cubes.

should i give them some clonex with water ?

how much should i add ?

i will begin feeding with biobizz nutes when the seedlings are 10 cm at least.

thanksi read some growers use formulex for seeds.
i think formulex and clonex are similar, but i have clonex.so i thought it may help to root my seeds.

It's rooting hormone, no? Of course it will be good for your seeds!

(There's no rockwool cubes or HPS ballasts in nature either!)

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that! I also have clonex, the gel, should I roll the seed around in the gel before sticking it in my oasys cubes? I just started my first grow and so far my germ rate is 7 out of 9 but some of the ones that haven't germed yet were just planted this last Saturday so I still have hope for them.

afak the clonex is really for rooting clones, hence the name.. your seeds should have all they need to make roots, but let us know what happens if you try it, especially versus a control :)

In my experience, i use a mixture of water and clonex, to saok the rockwoll-cubes in for 24 hours. tjeck ph, and squeze the exesive water out. split the rockwollcube and, place the pre-sprouted seed inside, with a halfsplitted straw oround the seed, to work as a guide. then the clonessolution is in the rockwoll and that way it works to make the seedling develope a healthy root system in the cubes :)

works like a charm :)

Well I learned shit from that has anyone tried this realy and have some kind of real answer
Too much fuss over such a simple concept.

Choose your medium soil, coco or rockwool. Plant the seed 1/4 inch deep.
Keep moist, don't over water, and warm, between 75f to 80f.
Then in about 4 to 7 days you should have sprouts.

No smoke and mirrors to it.

Do you put your seeds point down or the flat rounding bit down thanks

It won't really matter, roots always grow down.

It's my experience the tap root sprouts from the point first.
Thanks I bin doing it for years but everry time I put the seed in the hole in the rockwall I wonder which way. But yea done both and no difference they usually come up fine thanks
