Ya you can top anytime now. Doesn't really matter where exactly. You can also take that top and clone it.Just looking for advice on my 3 week old, should I top/where exactly would I cut above the node?
Thanks, would it be safer to top above that? I like the idea of a shorter plant but I don’t want to stress it too muchYes, just under the 3rd node. Leaving 2 nodes. Leaving the extra stem above the 2nd node will help with the main stem from splitting.
Ya you can just take the very top off too. Thanks, would it be safer to top above that? I like the idea of a shorter plant but I don’t want to stress it too much
Yeah, I'm the same. I don't see a point in topping, unless you want to slow the plant down.Honestly no i would not top it. I prefer LST you should just tie a string around the top and stake it into the dirt to bend it over. No need to damage and stress plants when they are small
The 'window' is between days 14 and 20 from when the first true leaves appear. Here's a good thread on topping autos.I’ve been watching a lot of YT vids, and it seems like if I just pinch the topmost growth off, and then LST, I’ll be in business. Is this the right way forward? Am I too young for that still? Advise would be helpful. This thing keeps growing bigger every day and I don’t want to do it too early or miss my window.
