should i start smaller?

hey everyone so my first grow, im using 7 gallon containers, soil and rooted clones about 5 inches tall. my question is should i put them in the 7 gallon containers to start or put then in a smaller pot to start then transplant?

You can throw them in the 7 gallon containers. I've started plants in 4 gallon pots and grown them all the way through. Some people like to gradually transplant them, but I like to give them plenty of room to grow, when I'm not using bat guano for flowering, i premix it into the soiln and start my plants in 1.5 gallon containers then transplant them into 3 or 5 gallon containers before flowering them. If your using water soluble nutrients then it's easier and less messy start in a large container.
