should i start flowering? Height problems

Basically i don't know how much will my plant grow. I want to make the most of it so i'll let it veg for as much as possible .
I have a 1x1x2 ft box.

I managed to convince my parents this is a hydroponics experiment and i'm trying to grow plants with artificial light( they bought it, they don't care ).

I'm afraid my 3 80mm fans won't be enough to vent the heat out of my box if i add a 110w HPS. i can ditch some of the CFL's .

P.S. had some yellowing of the lower leaves, i added nutes and changed the pot to a bigger one.

it's my first time, tuesday is my last exam and i'll build a 1x2x2 ft grow space for 2 lovelies and buy good seeds ( this one is a bagseed i got from some guy )

gonna move it in the attic, no one entered that place for 3 years, except for me ( i keep my home gym there ).
hiding it is not a problem, height though ...
should i veg more or flower for max height advantage?

looks good to me man. you should have a small space with one plant for your first grow.
the plant looks great though. i have the same space problems so i LST my plant. its about a foot and a half now but because i bend the plant horizontally, its only actually taking up about 6-7 inches of height space.
by LSTing my plant I was able to transplant it into a 5 gallon container, bigger than i ever expected to use.

Do not flower at 4 weeks. It is really just a waste. You should go through the entire grow your first time in order to really figure out whats going on.

Ok, first things first, that looks like a cardboard growbox...definitely not the best thing to use when dealing with electricity + heat...

Is this random bagseed? Possible that its an autoflower strain? If its an autoflower it will do its own thing and get to a height of 16-24". If its not an autoflower LST that bitch and bend it around the pot to keep the height down on it growing colas all around. You can tie down branches and offshoots to your liking to keep it low. IF you happen to snap a branch just wrap it up in masking tape and let it sit for about 5-7 days and it should heal itself as long as it wasn't a complete break, but even then it might still heal.

Self Ballasted HPS doesn't exist, even though it says it is, it isn't...HPS requires a transformer, capacitor, and igniter which I can guarantee that bulb has none of those...if you google "Self Ballasted HPS" you'll see lots of people wanting it, but no one ever finding it. The issue is the heat generated, a ballast would probably blow up with all that heat of the lamp plus its own heat generation...

thank you for your long post ( you actually wasted your precious time to help me, i am grateful )
it is not a cartboard box, only thae back is ( but it's somewhat fireproof, i tested it outside with a windproof lighter, it couldn't light, it only smoldered )
the rest of the box is made of wooden panels with that aluminium foil ( which i'll remove when i get white paint )
the front is like in those grow tents a drape that goes vertically and a drape that goes over the one vertically but in a horrizontal direction, thus keeping all light outside. i started LST-ing the plant right now, read a some guides before, i guess i'm atleast capable of understanding the principle of LST if not having a perfect tehnique

i changed my pot to a 4litre( 1.1 galon i reckon ) and flowered it 1 week after my last post in this thread ... look how big she got ( it's a she w00t )

You would do well to consider topping and LST(low stress training). This will make sure your plant grows wide and low, with maximized bud sites.

Any updates on this?
