Should i soak my rockwool

ive heard that u shud soak rockwool cubes in water thats ph adjusted but i didnt do it last time and they were fine.. my water is roughly 7.6 and all i did was soak the cubes in this for a few min then after i dipped the clones in clonex i put them into the cubes..

does any1 have info on this..

It is standard to soak rockwool cubes in 5.0 water for 2 - 24 hours before using for clones or seeds...

After using this technique for years, I too stopped soaking and had no bad results...

What does concern me more than the NO SOAKING is the 7.6 water?

Are you growing in soil? Have you had any nutrient deficiency issues with your plants..? Your pH should be 6.8 for soil.

im growing in nft tanks and my ph is set to 5.6-5.8 for veg and flowering.
the water out of the tap is high 7 ph.. scotland (uk)
never had any deficiencies with hydro but when i first started i used soil and had nothing but probz so quickly learnt how hydro systems worked.
since then its been plain sailing lol.. touch wood.
