Should I prune fan leaves?

Hi folks,
I was just wondering if I should prune the yellower fan leaves of this plant? I already cut off a few to allow more light flow. Should I cut off the yellowing ones to allow the energy to go into producing buds?
I see some people's photos of flowered plants that look like they are trimmed back to just the sugar leaves almost!

My other plants were autoflowers so I didn't do any real pruning unless the leaf was dead as I didn't want to stress them. But I accidentally also grew this photoperiod one (thinking it was an auto) and now I'm trying to figure out what's best for her as she is 3 times the size the others were! It's my first ever grow.

Oh and please ignore the whitish residue- it's from a milk spray treatment I gave her as her neighbour plant got powdery mildew.

My perspective is that the only situations that justify removing leaves from plants is when they're heavily senesced, when they're damaged and might allow infection, or when they're blocking air flow. Other than that, leaves have a vital role in generating food, in transpiration, and as a source of leaves.

The leaves in the picture are allowing nutrients to be translocated to the flowers so I would allow them to continue to support that function until they are significantly darker and brittle.

All good points. Another reason to leave them is they can help you identify nutrient problems. Yellow leaves can be normal, but can also be due to issues such as nutrient deficiency or ph imbalance. If there is a problem and you cut them off, then the problem would likely migrate to other leaves. If it is because say too little Nitrogen, the plant will continue to suck the green out of those leaves and send it to the new growth until you can give it a little more N. Nice plant though, so If you do increase any nutes, don't overdo it.

You got a heater in there with em ? Might be worth getting a wee oil heater as well if possible keep temps up a bit remember some nutes will get locked out below 15c

Yeah if it's a easy pull off it was coming off anyway I just wait till it's almost falling of then pluck it

Yup. I've a heater in there connected to an inkbird and a seedling mat wrapped around her base too.

Yeah, that's thay I did today. Gave some a little tug and if they came off , grand. Any looking very withered got pruned also. She still has a lot of leaves but I feel better now she has had bit of a haircut !
