Should I cut a hole in my garage wall?

I am going to be building my grow room in my garage shortly. I was thinking that i would cut a hole in my garage wall to vent out the air. I should also mention I will be framing out a 5x5 or 6x6 room inside the garage with 2x4s and panda. I have been starting to think I wouldn't need to vent outside and perhaps just venting into the garage would suffice. The exhaust system would be, filter-hood-fan-out. What do you guys thnk? What are the benefits to venting out the garage through the wall rather than into my two car garage that gets fresh air through the car doors? I see myself having to vent out the wall in the future as I expand but that might be a while before I do that. Thanks for any input.

I would say try the least intrusive option first (venting in your garage). Give it a complete test run as it would be while growing and see what your temps run. If it turns out that won't work, then I'd start thinking about your other options. I personally wouldn't want to cut a hole in my garage wall if I didn't have to. Just my thoughts.

I use air cooled hoods and the second half of my garage as a room to cool the air I circulate into them. I'd avoid the cuts too, personally. good luck man!

save yourself a step and vent to the outside, if you vent to the area right outside your grow it is only a matter of how long until the space will be saturated with heat and slowly raising the temp of your whole grow, just my 2 .........JR

air filters are cool.........and yeah if you don't know, don't have a open whole from outside to your grow....Good one...JR

Thanks for all the replies everyone. To clarify, this is just for the exhaust only. The intake would be passive. The garage doors are not air tight so there would be some circulation through the cracks in the doors. I really don't want to find I need to cut a hole after I have the cycle under way, that would suck. The garage does stay pretty cool day and night. I am only allowed to grow 6 mature plants anyways and my budget won't allow me to get a 1000watt at this time so I don't see heat build up being a huge issue until I do get a bigger light. But if I do want to keep all smells out of the house I suppose the exhaust to the outside would be ideal.
