Should I change my current light setup?

Hey guys, my grow box is a never-ending project as I am always tweaking things. Currently I'm using 4x42watt + 2x85watt bulbs. One set in 2700k & the other 6500k. I like how I am able to diffuse my light and put it where I need it but have currently been wondering if I should switch to 3x125watt bulbs? It would be an additional 37 watts.

Good idea? Bad idea? I know there's plenty of you who have played around with their setup.

I always hear that more light bulbs with smaller wattages will actually give you more lumens...which is what ya want, not wattage. But, I do the same as you, almost exactly 2x85w, 2x65w, 2x42w. Guess it depends on how big your space is and if ya have the heat under control. I'm only working with 2x2x3' tho, so couldn't fit those 125 watters. If ya got enuf room, and they will surround the plants instead of just lighting the top of the plants.... go for it!

If you are not in flowering i wouldnt use 2700k lights, you need the higher lumens when in the veg stage

I'm not using the 2700ks for veg. I have twelve bulbs in total.

And 6 bulbs does give me more lumens. Perhaps I should stick with what I have; it's working great.
