short plants

im in the 3rd week of my first grow i have a good spot but my plants are limited to how high they can grow without beeing seen and im trying to figure out the best way to keep them as short and fat as possible i read about people topping their plants is this what i need to do and if so how would i go about doing that the right way.

search the forums dude, thats what they keep tellin me to do. im currently in the same dillema but i havent planted yet, to paranoid. how many plants? you might want to do a scrog (screeen of green) look it up.

Yes, if you need to keep em short topping it is the right way....You want to wait till you have atleast 5 nodes on your plant....(or fan leave levels) Cut where the new leaves come out, (node) at the main stem ..with a razor blade, nothing dull....dont cut to close to close to the fan level....plants will get bushy and not tall....remember when flowering plants can double in size so topping is great if you need to keep them short...
