Shed?

Should i start my first grow in a shed? it seems pretty well insulated from heat and cold and there is a fan on the ceiling that's like pointing upward. Theres outlets for lighting and stuff. No one barley goes in it, its super messy but i can clean it up a bit. what are the pros and cons of growing in a shed? The dimensions are 12x12x8 . thanks in advance

a shed sounds like a great place, IF it's VERY secure, AND inside a fenced property. The cops can just walk right up to it and say they smell pot, then sit & wait for a warrant.....also, NOBODY else knows, a shed would make an easy & tempting target for anyone with bolt cutters or battery powered saber saw!........shhhh!!!

search laws vary by state but most dont consider a shed the same as a residence and are more leiniant towards nosey cops or criminals.

Thanks for the help I'm guna start emptying out and cleaning the shed tomarow. I'll hopefully get some pics of the setup when i start.

insulate if not insulated,.,.,its not just one of those tin sheds is it??/?.,.,if so insulate ,.,if its the ones they sell at home depot with the fans,windows ect,.,.,ure go0d to go.,.,just make sure theres no light leaks,temp is go0d ect,.,.and keep ure mouth shut and you will be growing happy

Thats what Im growing in a shed. It is also a 12x12x8... What I did I re did the whole shed.. Insulated the whole shed and I put a new door with a lock.. Like a house door...I just have to limit how many times I go in the shed so it dont look weird but... This is what I did to mine.. So the shed is 12x12x8.. I put up a wall 3 feet from the door so when you open the door you dont see plants... You walk in close the door there is another door to the left of the entrance door... Then u go throu there and I have a cabinet on the wall for my mothers that will go into flowering witch is about 3 feet tall in side.. What Im stil trying to figure out is venting it...

What are you doing for that?

I do get nerv going in and out like who's watching me but I know prob no 1 is watching me its like do you wtch your neighbors what they do like go in there garage? Mow there lawn? etc etc...
I have a fenced in yard andmy gate is locked... I have new people in next door " mexicans " witch I like to talk 2 and keep my peace but I dont think they will call the cops on anything so there ok... My people across the street are cool I dont think they watch me nor would call the cops or think twice on " why does he keep going in the shed "

Just watch your surroundings and dont tell anyone.. I regreat telling 1 person witch I no longer will say anything and as far as he knows I will tell him that im not doing it no longer...

I will post pixs on my grow room and hopefully someone can help us on venting... Im prob going to use an AC portable unit and wont need to vent it I will just make a carbon filter to filter the air etc etc...

lol why did you say "mexicans" out of nowhere ,does that matter for any particular reason,im black but yellow like cheese ,but still?back to the matter at fo0t,ure gonna need a couple oscolating fans,u could tryn make the shed airtight and have a passive intake with the air being sucked in the inlet(co0l new air), thru the outlet(hot air this perferably being at the top)with a blower or something of the sort

im a funny guy ya heard? haha... I dont know why i called them that i guess thats what im use to saying... Not in a bad way either... So people dont think im racist...im a white dude who dated black,mexican & so on...

He will need an exit for the hot air.. My shed can reach upto 98 deg's with single 400watt bulb.. I just put in a 4" intake fan and it cooled it down to 81 deg's and stays there... Once this is done I will be closing off all holes to the grow room and putting in cfl's and led lighting.. Thus I will be using a portable ac unit and a dehumidifier in with c02 witch im still reading up on..
