Fuck spiderfarm. You want a Chinese lamp, you go to China. Kingbright 320w is what I got. Thing is a beast for the price you pay. I can grow four plants and get 2.5oz a plant with that. May be able to get more, but I make mistakes . More bang for your buck. They are Samsung diodes. My 320 watt only cost me $260 I think.

Their warranty is actually not very good. After 3 months you have to pay 1 way shipping and repair fees. After a year you pay shipping both ways and repair fees.
Well I suppose if you want to pay double to triple the cost they would repair the light for free . If you want a light with a good warranty then dish out the couple hundred extra bucks. This is a cheap light, if it breaks, I will just buy another. There cheap enough to do that. I can literally buy two lights for the price of many of the expensive ones and they use the same diodes. If you want a fancy brand with a warranty go expensive. I choose cheap, and it has worked wanders for me.

I had a SF2000. Nice fit and finish, nice waterproof (I think) coating on it. I didn't realize they were running the drivers at lower wattages than everyone else when I bought it. It was advertised at 202 watts; mine was 198. The driver is 240 watts plus (it'll hit 302 wide open but don't leave it there) but if you dial it up to 240 you void the warranty. The Samsung boards are rated at 125 watts each; so 200 watts is super safe, for Spider Farmer!
It was way more expensive than a quantum board that was set at 240 watts with a warranty for that level. 4000K whites are more for veg in my opinion but not an expert on that. I sold it.

how exactly are you comparing prices and wattages and specs are what i'm wondering. If you can put all these down in numbers and then add in the customer service factor i'm sure you will make the best choice

is DIY out of the question?

all you need to do is figure out the options and prices and it will be an easy choice for you imo. maybe add in positives and negatives as notes for each buy

Yea I agree which is why I use Alibaba lights also. I don't think the Spider farmer is the worth the extra cost because the warranty isn't very good and I have heard too many bad stories about their customer service.

I'm go pre built and I only got a 2x2x4 so not a big space just looking for a decent upgrade from the plurple but nothing on the expensive side I mean mid priced is fine but I don't need top tier for what I got going on lol just figure if I can pull a higher yield with a better light possibly why not

I was also interested in upgrading to a Viparspectra xs1500... Good meanwell driver with samsung lights for around $150... If u trust par readings, this light should be excellent.

@Ayokiwi717 can you post link to the kingbrite 320w I can't seem to find it

Looks like an updated model. Mine isn't water proof and looks a tad bit different. They aren't made for beauty thats for sure. They honestly look like somebody made it in their garage, but thats why their cheap. They are made to perform and be cheap.
