Sex Question

I got some bagseed growing and want to sex them early and revert to veg to weed out the males.

I did do some searches on the threads but all i came up with is https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/683-sexing-marijuana-plants.html where he says not to do this but dont say why. So is it possible or will it stress the plant so bad it will hermie? Do I have to take a clone off and sex it that way because it is very small still and barely got its 2-3 nodes not room to take clones yet and will take longer that way.

i would most certainly given the space you have. to certainly take a clone and flower it. if its a female then when you take a clone off your plant after its vegged for say... three months then your clone is three months. bbefore long you'll have a mother plant !i tell you what idk if a 12-12 from seed journal would help.. since it's sort of off topic.. you could ask del666. he does 12-12 from seed. i don't see how it would be good for it.. but I am not very statistical. if it were me I would take a clone. i know this is not helping but. aye. your plant sounds young anyways. if you do switch the light and then back up you might have created a herm. just make sure you take a clone lmao. just my $0.02

Yea i'm trying to find the female out of the bunch to make a mother plant gonna sog, but i guess your right gonna be a long time might as well go with a full veg cycle and take clones, thanks.

or you can just let them grow and they will show you what sex they are when they hit about a month old

They can show sex in veg ( pre-flowers) when they are mature, from seed usually about 4-6 weeks veg...and you will see which are females, and they will big enough to take cuttings from at that time.

good plan .... only take cuttings from females, that will insure an all female garden

You can clone for sexing. Take a clone and give it 12/12 lighting with the 12 dark hours as dark as possible.
After 2 weeks the clone should be showing sex. You know the clone is the same sex as the mother.

you can always flower the plants you have and then take cuttings from them a few weeks in.................

What are these pre-flowers? Mine are over a month old so should be able to tell right? What do i look for?
