Setting up two inline fans in a tent

Hey all,

I’m planning on using two 4” inline fans in my Secret Jardin DR120, one for the light/hood and one for the carbon filter. I’m planning on using the 4” inline with a Phresh Filter 4x12 and have it vent out of the top of the tent. Does anyone have pics of the proper setup for this?

Additionally, can someone post up some pics of the proper setup to cool a Yield Master II 6" Classic Reflector ?

Also, does anyone know how much noise a Sunleaves WindTunnel 4" inline fan makes? Will using any particular kind of duct help to muffle the sound of the fan?

Thanks for the info. Will two 4" inline fans along with 2 clip on fans be sufficient? One of the 4" inline fans will be for the hood, the other for the carbon filter.

I need more information in order to give a better reply.

What size light are you using?
How many plants are you growing?
What medium are you growing in?

If you look at my profile's pictures and some of my previous threads you can see how I set my tent up.

3 to 4 plants in the Secret Jardin using 400w HPS and MG lights. I'll be growing in soil for the time being.

It's difficult to say for sure because there are so many variables. My first inclination is to say no; two four inch fans will not suffice.

I say that because like you, I have a 4x4 tent. I am currently vegging some babies under a 250w HPS and the temperatures in the tent with a four inch fan stay around 90f. You want to try to keep the air temperature lower than 85f.

A four inch carbon filter and fan is not going to be enough. I've used a similar set-up before and was disappointed by its performance.

I suggest that you purchase two six inch fans for your ventilation. I've had perfect results with my rig, but as I started to say earlier; every grow is different and if you're setting up for the first time the only way to find out it to guess and check :leaf:.
