My Plan
I have a 4" carbon filter and 4" fan. NO air cooled lights.
What I'm thinking:
|Duct<>FAN<>Filter<>empty space in room|
<>=to
| = wall of room
No space between filter and fan (they will be connected together). Very little space between other side of fan going out of the room. This way air is sucked through the filter, into the fan, and out the room? Duct tape to seal.
The Questions
Do I need to use actual ducting or can I just use this Bristol board, since I don't want to spend $20 on ducting and I only need a couple inches (3-4").
Suggestions for hanging it? Zip-ties? Metal plumbers wire? Bungie-cord? I do not plan on screwing the fan to the wall.
I am putting this into a box in my room. Anyone have any experience with keeping the noise down to a minimum?
If I have a room within a big room, can I exhaust the air into the big room? And leave a window cracked for air circulation within the larger room? I do not want to get too complicated with this especially right now.
