Seeds... Not coming out properly

Those are showing taproots. I would get them in a rooting plug, or in seed starter soil in a warm spot, put a dome over them, and let them sprout. They don’t have to have a long taproot to be ready to plant. I plant all of mine when they look they way yours do.

Sorry, I forgot to mention to make sure you keep your seeds warm (70°-75° F), and in the dark, in order to speed up the germination.

I used to have the towel soaking wet and I'd wonder why it took so long. Now, I put them in the towel, wet it, squeeze the towel to get rid of all the excess water so the towel is just damp, and then put it in a ziplock. In 2d, I have 1" taproots, and then go straight to soil.
Basically: You're over-watering the seed.

That is the way it should be done.
If you dont have any starter pods or soil yet, you can keep that seed alive for another day or two using that method.

You need to let the seeds warm up a little bit and dry out. All that moisture is not getting enough oxygen to the tap root. Try putting them outside in the sun in a humidity dome or covered up if you don't have one. In three hours once the seeds get warm they will begin to grow a longer tap root.
