Seeds and Temp.

I have two spots to start these seeds

On the bathroom floor its around 78 degrees , or in a closed spot that is around 85 degrees but is much more convient. Does anyone know or has anyone tried to plant seeds in 85 degrees before?

Will the seeds survive?

That would be fine. warmish soil is helpful when germinating or cloning, I always use a heat mat for mine.

I would go with the bathroom floor, if it is a constant 78, that would be ideal. The 85 would probably be ok for sativas. but if you've got indicas, HIT the floor Dude, lol, Good luck & good grow.......BB

AHHH fuck i should have tested this spot before i planted them. I was so sure it would work. I drilled all these holes n shit, mylared the whole area i got vent tubes on the side. I guess i gotta get a fan but im broke. I just borrowed 100 for rent so i could get a light for this spot haha

What is the strain? Again, 85 is by no means fatal or even that detrimental for germanation, even for indicas. But I have always understood that 75/78 was the ideal range, so I was suggesting that you go for the gold.....BB

kc brains 36 yah i think i got the temp down to about a constant 84. I once read a book and saw that higher temps basically make more males in seeds. In clones it would be ok i think im looking at diffrent options but anyways............ its KC Brains 36 and i got it at a constant 84 right now trying to get it lower so i still have it on the bathroom floor haha. But i really have to get it in this spot somehow

the extra heat is okay for seeds as DD said so put them in the hot spot but just open the door twice a day and your right, u dont need your fan really for another 2 weeks

So!! basically its in a cabinet and its a 3 chamber system.



The top chamber has 2 holes that are 2 inches.
The middle chamber is 2x2 so 4sq ft. total. It has 3 holes below it that connect to the bottom chamber which is cracked open to receive air.
Right now its a constant 84 degrees in the middle chamber with the fan blowing air next to the holes on the bottom hoping that it will push the hot air up into the upper chamber.

Your KC 36 is sativa dominant. Your temps are fine, enjoy.......BB
